A funding/pre-order campaign for WAGTtB! An action-packed art zine full of amazing artwork that honors iconic action movies from the 80’s, 90’s & more!
So, this campaign is dying by the end of the day. I guess it’s safe to say that the funding of this zine has been a complete failure, haha! ಥ⌣ಥ
Sorry you guys, I understand I’ve been pretty shitty in putting together better incentives & letting the world know this is a thing. I’ll be setting up a new campaign in July, hopefully a successful one. In the meantime, I’ll try to research how to make a successful crowdfunding campaign & shit like that.
If the second campaign falls flat, I’ll just print the artist copies. Thanks again for the support!
Yo, follow the We Ain’t Got Time To Bleed tumblr (http://secondamendment-zine.tumblr.com/) and keep an eye out for the next version of the crowdfunding campaign if you want a groovy book of old-school action movie based art and stuff!
I never understood the mass appeal of The Tragically Hip so I found this interesting/funny.
The Tragically Hip
The band that many believe inspired Sloan’s memorable line, “It’s not the band I hate, it’s their fans” (though that isn’t actually the case). There is no stereotype of a Tragically Hip fan, but their fans are what has made them so divisive.
On one hand, they have some really good songs, a charismatic lead singer and they’re a pretty interesting band. On the other hand, they seemed like a Cancon sociological experiment. “Let’s see if we can take a weird, niche band and make them the biggest band in Canada by constantly playing them on the radio.” To an outsider, their fans seemed brainwashed. How else could this become the band everyone decided to love?
